Call to order: 6:35 PM
Members Present: Bob Fay, Jen Golden, Rosemary Norton, Emil Alecusan, Cyndi Hofacre, Pat Silagy-Wesson, Darryl Paden, and Lyn Milnes
Old Business:
Secretary's Report: given by Jen Golden
- Motion was made by Darryl Paden and Cyndi Hofacre in approval of January, March, May, July, and September 2007 minutes
1st Vice President’s Report: given by Darryl Paden
- 173 Members paid for 2007
- Total paid for 2007: $4056.00
2nd Vice President’s Report: Crime Report given by Pat Silagy Wesson
- Total calls for October 2007=12 calls
Treasurer’s Report: given by Lyn Milnes
- Total Membership and Revenue=$7,196.00
- Expenses for 2006=$3,357.20
- Revenue over expense=$3,838.80
- Motion was made by Cyndi Hofacre, Darryl Paden and Rosemary Norton to have payment sent by Lyn Milnes to cover entire year of 2008 for MHNA PO BOX
New Business:
- Darryl Paden has volunteered to become our new Treasurer; motion was made by Emil Alecusan and Pat Silagy-Wesson
- discussion was made to have one person have the duty of taking care of newsletter instead of the president doing it all
- Block parties would be a great way to get to know your surrounding neighbors
- Brainstorming meeting will be held January 14, 2008 to set up agenda for 2008(improvements, concerns of neighbors, area of involvement for MHNA, and what can we do for you?); this will help us find out what we need to ask for in our grant application, as well as the needs of our neighbors in Market Heights
- Questionnaire will be posted on the MHNA website and a hard copy will be sent out in December 2007 newsletter
- MHNA will try to strive for community involvement in 2008(Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels...)
