Steering Committee Meeting Minutes from January 16, 2007

Call to order: 6:30 PM

Members Present: Bob Fay, Rachel Korzan, Pat Silagy-Wesson,Sandy Zorn, Cynthia Hofacre, Tim Hisrich, Darryl & Peggy Paden, Lyn Milnes and Rick Miller

Old Business:

Temp. road closure in the park seems to be a problem for some surrounding homes; people are parking in front of driveways and turning around in there driveways; 5 other surrounding homes do not want to see this road opened
Tennis courts will be started at end of summer 2007
Stark Community Foundation Grant Application due January 24,2007; we are asking for $10,000; some suggestions are new banners, tree removal and replacement program, sidewalks for park; will be notified of grant money amount on April 24, 2007

1st Vice President’s Report: given by Darryl Paden and Rick Miller

Total of 43 paid members for 2007+8; $1,642.00 collected for membership fees in 2007
Membership form online needs to be changed to 2007

2nd Vice President’s Report: Crime Report given by Pat Silagy Wesson

2006 had total of 219 calls reported (14 Theft; 15 Break and Entering)
2005 had 229 calls (9 Theft; 9 Break and Entering)
2004 had 213 calls (13 Theft; 6 Break and Entering)
2003 had 211 calls (0 Theft; 6 Break and Entering)

Treasurer’s Report: given by Bob Fay

Total Revenue for 2006=$20,157.00
Expenses for 2006=$16,750.00
Revenue over expenses=$3,407.00

New Business:

April 23, 2007 Neighborhood Clean-up will take place; will be taking old stone, wood, bricks; flyer will be going out in the mail
Pat Wesson will be having Kent State Environmentalist Architect come in to talk about how to beautify our neighborhood at meeting on May 21, 2007
Party In The Park Movie Night will be held either in August or September
Garage Sale will be on May 4th and 5th from 9-3:00
New Directories will be going out soon
